Well I debated back and forth about trying Gamefly.  I figure to rent a game it’s about $8.00 and if I like it I kick in another $40.00 to $50.00 to buy it, either way I got a week or two at most to play the snot out of it .  Buying new games or used games are $40.00 to $60.00, so I like to wait to here feedback on the games before running out and buying them, and then there’s still the chance that I might not really enjoy it.  I figured a game I really like last me around 2-3 weeks of solid playing before I’ve comepleted it.  And there are very few games (Bioshock and Dead Rising) that I keep going back to after I beat them.  So, for $22.95 a month I get two games at a time for as long as I like, and you keep a “game Q” of the games you would like next in a particular order.  You can edit your list by adding, subtracting or moving games up and down your list  any way you like and they tell you the availability.  The first two games I got were Turok and Stuntman.  Turok was on the top of my list and Stuntman was about 6th.  I kept Stuntman for about a week and a half, sent it back and my next top pick is now on route.  I expect to keep Turok thru the weekend and I’ll be done with it.  So , I’ll have played 4 games within a month for $22.95 that I strongly considered buying.  And right now I’m glad I didn’t buy the first two games I got.  Turok is pretty good, but I think I’ll have had my fill by the time I send it back.  So I personally feel that Gamefly is right for me, and at least worth giving a run for a while.

Do they notify you which game is coming or do you have to wait for it to arrive before you find out?
