xbox live

January 31, 2008

Is it just me or have the issues with xbox live gotten worse?  This whole week I have been having issues of one type or another.  Tried to play Burnout on line, couldn’t connect-so I’ve only been able to play single player.  And while that is fun and addicting, the best part of Revenge was going on line and smashing everyone up-hope they fix this problem soon or I might not renew my live membership!

Godfather

Just noticed new achievements for the Godfather.  I’ll have to borrow the game from my friend and see what’s up!

Back to gaming

January 24, 2008

Well the challenge is over and I apparently fell just a tad short (322 points to be exact).  Now I can go back to playing games instead of flying through them.  Picked up Burnout Paradise on the 22nd, haven’t put too much time into it yet, but so far I like what I see.  I was really enjoying COD4, but I am playing it on veteran and am currently stuck on the mission to find Al-Asad’s safehouse-dang it’s hard.  Everyone says multiplayer is great for COD4, but I haven’t tried it yet-maybe this weekend.  I finished Timeshift a little while ago, that game turned out to be better than I thought it was going to be, definitely worth a run if you were on the fence about it.

Burned out on games

January 16, 2008

I never thought I would say this, but I’m starting to get a little bit burned out playing games.  I sighned up for an Old Spice Challenge ( a 30 day one) and it’s coming to an end this Friday.  So I’ve been playing games just for the achievements-some games I wouldn’t even normally play (Fusion Frenzy anyone).  Right now I’m in 2nd place, but I have a feeling people are waiting till the last minute to play the real easy games (Avatar, Etc.), so all this is going to be for nothing.  Oh, well-it was fun until this last couple of days.

Hello world!

January 8, 2008

This is my fist blog-how boring.  I am in my  4th decade on this planet (doesn’t sound so old that way).  I am married, have three beautiful girls, work two jobs and love to play on my xbox360 (when I can find the time).  Although I can be very competitive, I prefer to play the games for fun.  Mostly I enjoy fps, racing and puzzle type games.  Co-op is my preferred live experience, but I do play the occasional multiplayers (my competitive side doesn’t like them because I usually get my but kicked).

This blog is my attempt to join the rest of the world in the computer era.  I am farely computer illiterate, so we’ll see what happens.  I plan to write about my 360 experiences and games that I play, with  some updates about my personal life-not too personal.  So there you have it, my first blog-how boring!!
